Sewing & Embroidery Associate

Job Summary
CHEFtog has an opening for a part-time Sewing & Embroider Associate with flexible hours. This position will be responsible for cutting, assembling, and sewing aprons for the hospitality industry. 

Essential Job Duties

• Cut, assemble and sew aprons promptly and with accuracy
• Use industrial sewing equipment including: straight stitch machine, embroider, walking foot machine, etc.
• Read and correctly interpret specifications based on customer orders
• Accurately read and use measuring devices with 1/16” accuracy
• Spot flaws and color shade differences
• Ensures quality by checking work
• Ability to identify process improvements and help develop new ideas
• Work on rush orders as needed
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Experience & Education

• 1+ years of sewing experience using industrial equipment (such as Juki or Singer)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Read, write and speak English

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, pinch and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Production Associate

Job Summary
CHEFtog has an opening for a part-time Production Associate with flexible hours. This position will be responsible for cutting and assembling aprons for the hospitality industry. 

Essential Job Duties

• Cut & assemble aprons and components promptly and with accuracy
• Use industrial cutting and sewing equipment
• Read and correctly interpret specifications based on customer orders
• Accurately read and use measuring devices with 1/16” accuracy
• Spot flaws and color shade differences
• Ensures quality by checking work
• Ability to identify process improvements and help develop new ideas
• Work on rush orders as needed
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Experience & Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Read, write and speak English

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, pinch, stoop, reach overhead and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Able to reach at or below shoulder level over a cutting table up to 60 inches
